Hello from the DDT team!

Based in the Forest of Dean, we tackle tough training challenges and provide compassionate care for companion animals of all species.

Our core values are trust and communication, fostering healthy relationships between you, your pets, and us.

We are committed to using reward-based training methods and an evidence-based, ethical approach in all our services.

Frequently asked questions

What services do you offer?

We cover many aspects of animal care, including pet-sitting, walking, and training sessions.

Do you look after cats/rodents/reptiles?

All species welcome! Our cat-sitting clients love us, we’ve got a few guinea pigs on our roster, and we have experience with dozens of other species, from snakes to blue-tongued skinks.

Do you offer pet sitting near me?

We offer pet sitting in the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas. If you’re unsure if we can travel to you, pop us a message and we’ll let you know. No worries if we don’t, we can put you in touch with another fabulous pet sitter near you.

Do you offer home boarding?

Home boarding is not a service we offer. Our pet sitting service keeps your animals safe and cared for in the comfort of their own home, and can be a great alternative.

What age can my animal start training sessions?

We offer training sessions from 8-weeks-old but do require proof of primary vaccinations.

Doo's Dog Training Origin Story

“I founded Doo’s Dog Training in 2024 after the passing of Scrappy Doo, my beautiful old dog, the year before.

I like to think his soul lives on through DDT. He was the inspiration behind the name and we keep a red collar in the logo because that was his signature colour.”

Meet our team

Bethan Evans

BSc (Hons) Animal Training and Performance

“Animals have been a huge part of my life: our family dog inspired the name of the business. Owning and working with rescue hounds has given me a deep appreciation of their unique instincts, temperaments, and training needs.”

With an animal training degree and years of experience under her belt, Bethan is well-equipped to lead the DDT team. She’s developed a wide breadth of knowledge, shadowing specialists across the county and is constantly studying to learn more.

Ellie Evans

BSc (Hons) Canine Training and Performance

“My love for dogs began early and, over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to gain extensive hands-on experience. I’m always refining my approach and love to tackle a wide range of cases.”

Specialising in Bull Breeds, our fabulous assistant Ellie has been with DDT since day one. Her wealth of experience in animal rescue centres makes her a fount of knowledge for challenging cases with any species.

"It was a pleasure knowing Beth was here to keep my girl happy. With regular updates [it] was lovely to see how happy my princess was. Shan’t hesitate to recommend."

Sandra

"We were so pleased to have Beth and Ellie look after our two dogs while we had a fun night out in Bristol. The dogs absolutely loved them both, and were so relaxed and content when we came back home the next morning. Our house was left immaculately too, and we had great communication throughout. We’re happy to highly recommend Doo’s Dog Training, and I know two dogs who can’t wait to see them again!"

Iain

"I was delighted to have Beth pet-sitting my cat and two dogs over a long weekend. She has a lot of experience with dogs, especially with training and dog walking. Beth has all the necessary paperwork sorted out, for example, DBS certificate, insurance, canine first-aide certificate etc. Beth is a very friendly and accommodating person who is not only good with dogs, but is also pretty good with grumpy cats! The dogs were walked while we were away and when we got back they seemed very happy and relaxed. And the house was left very clean and tidy. Perfect!"
